"Those that we do not speak of" and IRIS 2004

Man oh man, four movies down and Manoj Night Shyamalan’s status as my all time fave movie director is cemented. I happened to watch his latest offering, ‘The Village’ yesterday and am I mind-boggled or what.

The way the movie starts off with the funeral of a young man who harmlessly wandered off into Covington Woods only to be killed by “those we do not speak of” to the way it ends with Ivy Walker successfully returning with medicines to heal the love of her life, Lucius Hunt is an amazing journey, to say the least.

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot just in case some of you who are reading this haven’t actually seen the movie. For the ones who already have seen the movie, I’m sure they’ll agree with me when I say that this is one movie which seriously makes us think about the way we lead our lives today.

in any case, IRIS 2004 has descended upon the serene shores of IIM Indore and is going on at full swing. We’ve had our share of amazing case presentations, emotion evoking treasure hunts and brain tickling quizzes. We’ve got one more day of IRIS to go and I’m sure that it’ll be as good as the previous three if not better.
